CARE INFORMATION
The use of natural stone materials adds a permanence and elegance to both modern and traditional construction. A natural stone will enhance your home with a look that is both pleasant to look at and easy to maintain.
Granite is one of the most versatile stone types available. The granite range is able to take a wide variety of finishes from highly polished through honed and antiqued. It is highly resistant to scratching and staining.
Marble and limestone are typically less resistant and therefore may result in reduced spans or increased wear in high traffic areas. It is for this reason that we do not recommend marble or limestone for use in kitchen applications.
We do recommend that any spills are wiped from the stone surface as soon as possible to maintain the quality of your worktops. You will receive a complimentary care pack with your kitchen worktops, replacements for which are available from us at any time. In addition we would recommend that you follow the following guidelines to keep your worktops in the best possible condition.
PREVENTING DAMAGE
To keep your granite worktop in the best possible condition, the following points should be observed :
- Avoid contact with edges of the work surface as chipping may otherwise occur.
- Do not cut directly on the work surface.
- Do not physically abuse your granite worktop
- Do not expose your granite worktop to excessive heat
- Do not move your granite worktop from the original place of installation
